Vivo Y05 has had 4GB and 64GB memory trim in Pakistan so far. But this upgraded version levels up the storage to 128GB, though the RAM is still capped at 4GB. Vivo Y05 (128GB) is a budget device, so the RAM/ROM configuration is acceptable. The spec sheet is the same as the original model. That screen on top is still a 6.74” IPS LCD with a notch for a 5MP selfie camera. Vivo Y05’s screen resolution is 720p or HD+. It does have a very bright backlight of 1,200 nits. 120Hz refresh rate should make things smooth, though you might feel occasional lag in the UI due to a weak chip. The Vivo Y05 is built around the Unisoc T7225 (12 nm) CPU. That’s just a 1.8GHz processor. The storage is eMMC 5.1, which will bottleneck the performance. Anyway, the battery on this Y05 handset is 6,500 mAh. Vivo didn’t cheap out on power. The charging will take some time because the battery is only rated for 15W input. The camera on the back is serviceable, but you should steer clear if you are a shutterbug. Its single rear unit is actually 8MP with 1080p 30FPS recording. The newcomer has dual-band WiFi and even a side-fingerprint reader for privacy. Vivo secured an IP65 rating for the Y05 (128GB).
